About Me

Patricia Lund M.S., BCBA, LBA, CSE
Owner of Summit Behavior Consulting, LLC

Hi! My name is Tricia Lund. I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and have worked in that capacity in a variety of settings including schools, clinics, group homes, day habs and in client’s homes. I have worked with children, teenagers and adults; but my passion and expertise is in working with teenagers and adults. I have a Masters Degree in Special Education and I have taught Special Education for over 10 years. I am a Certified Sexuality Educator. To see more about this credential click here. You can also read more about how I use it here or here.

I believe in respecting the dignity of the individuals that I work with. I strive to make my practice one that is neurodiversity affirming. I have found that oftentimes we leave all of the responsibility for change up to the neurodiverse individual. Thus, a large part of my services revolve around everyone changing their behavior, focusing on how we view behavior, modifying the environment and helping the neurodiverse individual to reach THEIR goals (while accepting that their goals for themselves may be different from our goals for them).

I believe in respecting gender diversity and using sex positive interventions. This doesn’t mean that every client is going to require goals related to sexuality. But it does mean that, when they addressed, I help individuals explore their own values around sexuality. I believe it is very important for individuals with disabilities to have relationships. Meaningful relationships can increase their quality of life, which is why I also focus work on how to safely experience the kind of romantic life they want.

I believe in being trauma informed. The impact of trauma on behavior is huge and oftentimes we can’t help individuals progress until we have helped them process their trauma. What we see as trauma and what a neurodiverse individual sees as trauma may be quite different. We need to be aware that many of the past/current interventions that have been used in school and clinics can be very traumatic. In my practice I strive to be sensitive to people’s past experience and I may not use approaches that have been used in the past (even if they are “proven” to change behavior).

I believe in collaboration. There are many fields whose expertise I value. I make time to read research in areas that are not just in my field and I will often reach out to other fields to help me learn other perspectives about why behaviors may be occurring.

I look forward to working with you! You can contact me at:
